On July 20, 2024, Training to Impact LLC proudly participated in the inaugural Latino Oregon Book Fair at the Kroc Center in Salem. This landmark event, organized by Lucy Escobar Coaching and Consulting LLC, was a vibrant celebration of community and creativity, featuring artists from diverse fields who showcased their work.
We are honored to have been invited to join the planning committee for this groundbreaking event, working alongside other dedicated community members in a collective effort to support and uplift our community.
As part of our involvement, Training to Impact LLC was thrilled to sponsor a special scholarship for graduating seniors heading to college in the Fall of 2024. We are delighted to announce that the $1,000 (USD) scholarship was awarded to a deserving student, marking a significant milestone for both the recipient and our initiative.
The scholarship was open to all graduating seniors planning to pursue higher education this fall. The application period ran from June 1 to June 15, 2024. To ensure fairness, four Feria del Libro Planning Committee members reviewed the applications anonymously. After a thorough review, we had the pleasure of notifying the winner by June 30, 2024. The scholarship was officially presented at the Feria del Libro on July 20, 2024.
The recipient, a first-generation college student from Forest Grove, will begin her studies at Portland Community College this fall. She delivered a heartfelt speech at the fair, sharing how the scholarship would significantly impact her educational journey and expressing her profound gratitude.
The first Oregon Feria del Libro Book Fair was a resounding success, and we are immensely proud of the TTI team’s dedication and the positive impact of this scholarship. This event and scholarship are part of our ongoing commitment to driving positive change and making an impact in our community.
